Our ten ducks are egg-producing insect control! They are free-ranging, able to roam throughout the property and a delight to watch. The pond is one of their favorite spots. The flock "spokesduck" is Jill, a fawn Indian Runner Duck. Jill is brooding a nest of eggs, hoping to hatch out some ducklings. Our seven-year-old son, Keil, is our duck wrangler. He loves everything to do with birds, and is a Greenwing member of Ducks Unlimited. If you are local, and would like duck eggs for the table or incubating, give us a call. We can also blow and ship clean eggs for craft purposes. Runner Ducks are a "watch" breed on the American Rare Breeds Conservancy Trust Conservation Priority List. They are prolific layers, outlaying most breeds of chickens!
